5. The plural of compound nouns. Множественное число у составных существительных . a. In compounds we put the head noun in the plural. But: if there is no noun-stem, we add ‘-s’ to the end of the word. If a compound contains such words as ‘man’, ‘woman’ or ‘lord’ at the beginning we must put both stems into plural.
